
Derrick Rose is the reason that Chicago is at the top of Butler's list but the Bulls may allocate its funds to pick up a shooting guard, Wojnarowski points out. The Clippers and New Jersey Nets are the two teams "with the most significant cap space and a need for a starting small forward," Wojnarowski notes.
"He sees the Clippers with a more stable foundation of players," a source tells Wojnarowki. "He isn't sure about Deron Williams' future in New Jersey, and having a chance to win will be a big part of this."
Since being drafter 10th overall in the 2002 draft out of the University of Connecticut, Butler has played for the Miami Heat, Washington Wizards, Los Angeles Lakers, and the Mavs. Last year, he averaged 15 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.6 asssits per game.
