It isn't clear what forced Atlanta Hawks point guard Kirk Hinrich to have shoulder surgery recently, but the unfortunate timing of it leaves his team with only one experienced point guard on the roster: Jeff Teague.CBSSports.com reports that Hinrich, who joined the Hawks last February after a trade with the Washington Wizards, will be out till late December or early January so Teague will likely be running the floor till then.
Hinrich averaged only 8.6 points, 3.3 assists, and 2.2 rebounds in his 24 games for Atlanta last season, all down from the 11.1 points, 4.4 assists, and 2.7 assists per game he averaged with the Wizards in his 48 games there at the start of the season.
